Manolian Speck began as a misheard phrase in 1989. The debut cassette "The White Visitation" grew in complexity until it was basically unfinishable and so was, reluctantly, abandoned, about half-finished, at the end of the 90's after about nine years of work. This was not the last time this sort of thing happened.
A handful compilation tracks and two CDrs (available for download at manolianspeck.bandcamp.com
) were completed and released from 1990 to 2004.
released October 3, 2016
Recorded in Halifax and Montreal, 1993 - 1998. See individual track info for details.
'A lost point...' was released on the double cassette compilation 'Vortex Rites' (Dystonia EK D.18) in 1998 and is, I think, one of my better pieces from the 90s.
The others are previously unreleased, the first two being from the planned and abandoned "The White Visitation".
